THE TRUTH BEHIND THE SCRIPTURE

Amplified Bible: "The lion, which is mighty among beasts And does not turn back before any;
The lesson for us is is magnified in Proverbs 28:1, "The wicked flee though no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion".
The lion is an emblem of Christ, who is called the Lion of the tribe of Judah. Christ never turned away from his duty as our Savior, nor submitted to Satan, the roaring lion. "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:" -1 Peter 5:8
Be encouraged in this battle. "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you". -James 4:7
